  • In Wake of Resignation, American Massage Therapy Association Seeks New Executive Director
    Elizabeth M. Lucas served as executive director of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) for more than 10 years. This week, she announced her resignation from her position.
  • Massage for the Cure Day Nears
    On Sept. 14, Massage Envy clinics across the nation will donate $15 from every one-hour massage to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which works to support breast-cancer education, screening and treatment initiatives.
  • American Massage Therapy Association Convention Approaches
    The American Massage Therapy Association annual national convention takes place Sept. 22-25 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It will feature continuing education sessions, an exhibits marketplace, awards, student-specific offerings, networking opportunities and more.
  • Massage for Angels
    Each year, adolescent girls who live each day with facial disfigurement are given the opportunity to learn, heal and gain confidence at the annual Angel Faces retreat. Angel Faces is a nonprofit group that coordinates retreats and support for the girls so they can reach their potential. The girls journal, swim, create art, and are provided spa services.
